Things we can all do and steps we can all take to help our planet

In my opinion one of the first things we should do to effectively go out of this climate crisis, is to educate ourselves.

How do we do that? Well we can read books, attend courses and talks, registre and take online courses and use learning tools available online too. Discuss with our friends, colleagues, teachers and peers about what we have learned and what we may not understand.

Here are some free platforms, hubs, newsletters, that you can access to gain more knowledge of what to do, how to do it and find resources that are available for us to take action and learn.

Business Energy Scotland (SME loan support and other resources)

Energy saving trust

Home Energy Scotland (access to grants, loans for insulation & renewable energy)

Net Zero Scotland

SME climate hub

Sustainability exchange

The Climate Book

Last November we heard from the UNEP, Emissions Gap Report 2023, some very bad news, meaning that we aren't even close to the 1.5 degrees to avoid the worst impacts of climate change.

Here a little extract of what the report found:

"This report by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) finds that current pledges under the Paris Agreement put the world on track for a 2.5-2.9°C temperature rise above pre-industrial levels this century – far above the 1.5°C limit that would avoid the worst impacts of climate change. The report also finds that none of the G20 countries are reducing emissions at a pace consistent with their net-zero targets. The report calls for all nations to deliver economy-wide, low-carbon development transformations, with a focus on the energy transition"

Click here to access the report.

I am suer you can find far more resources too and share it with your friend, family and community.

Let us start learning and understanding more about the crisis we are in and how we all can contribute to avoid the worst impacts of climate change.

Thank you for your time and for taking actions now!
